Capital Formation BD / Institutional Sales

About the role

TownSquare is a decentralized leverage and yield market built for institutions and power users. As Capital Formation lead, you'll own the institutional pipeline end-to-end — from cold sourcing to mandate close — and shape how serious capital interacts with our curated vaults.

What you’ll do

• Source, qualify and close allocations from funds, family offices, market makers and onchain treasuries.
• Own a full institutional pipeline in CRM with clear weekly forecasting against TVL targets.
• Design bespoke vault structures and term sheets alongside Product and Risk.
• Run technical diligence calls covering risk parameters, oracles, custody and audits.
• Negotiate commercial terms, allocation caps and lock-up structures.
• Build a repeatable institutional onboarding motion with Legal, Compliance and Ops.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years in capital formation, prime brokerage, institutional sales or IR — ideally at a crypto-native fund, exchange or major DeFi protocol.
• A live, warm network of allocators, trading desks and treasury teams in crypto.
• Deep fluency in DeFi mechanics: lending, looping, yield, LSTs, RWAs and stablecoins.
• Comfort owning a quota and operating in a high-velocity, async-first team.
• Excellent written communication — you can turn a complex vault into a one-pager.

Nice to have

• Experience structuring private vaults, segregated mandates or institutional carry trades.
• Existing relationships with market makers integrated across Monad, EVM and Move ecosystems.
• Prior trading or portfolio management background.
